Other things to do
In addition to the many offers of Orø’s nature, you will also find many other activities that make Orø worth a visit. Below is a short list.Take a train ride
Take a trip around Orø with the small Orø train that runs between Orø harbour and the beach/campsite in the summer and during the autumn holidays.
INDOOR SHOOTING
Yes, it seems a bit crazy, but Orø has its own indoor shooting range. Orø Skytteforening (Gun Club) meets in the premises upstairs at the Orø Hall (Sport Centre). Everyone is welcome, but do make an appointment first – primarily for groups of 10 or more.
Contact Orø Skytteforening for an appointment – tel 5947 0230.
STARRY SKIES OVER ORØ
On Orø you will probably be able experience the clearest of night skies as there is very little light polution here. For those interested in astronomy Orø is a really exciting place for observing the dark night skies, where there are particularly good conditions for experiencing unique astronomical phenomenons.
